In regard to summer football, Cap
tain Palmer E. Pierce,, the president
of tho association, predicted that sum
mer playing by college men as profes
sionals had come to Btay,
' Soccor football was given a boost
by meeting the approval of nearly
every momber present. ..The football
rules committee was instructed to re
port and publish its rules in the spring
instead of fall, and to fdvor the open
game.
