GERMAN PICTURES SHOWN
SCENES OF THE FATHERLAND ON
EXHIBIT IN UNIVERSITY
HALLWAYS.
The Gorman department has insti
tuted a novel method of spreading
knowledge of ''der Vaterland" by dis
playing a series of pictures in Uni
versity Hall. For thiB purpose they
havo put up a neat glasB covered case,
immediately in front of tho south en
trance. Lights placed in tho case
have made it quite conspicuous. It
has been tho center of much attention
and comment during the last two
days.
Tho views will be changed every
throe days. They will include scenes
in many of tho German cities, famous
buildings, castles, and landscapes,
and also a number of men prominent
in history. Tho pictures aro real pho
to graphs and are quite clear and dis
tinct. Tho course will afford an. in
teresting study of German society,
geography, architecture, and history.
