Nobraskais fruit judging team won
an easy victory in tho Judging con
teat at St. Joseph on Noverabor 28. A
repetition of this success will moan
tho permanent possession of the
trophy which has been tho onvy of all
tho valloy.
Tho toam, consisting of W. P. Beck
or, '14, Will Forbos, 12, R. H. Camp,
13, P. L. Miles, '12, and H. W. Ritchoy,
'14, wore accompanied by Profossor
Howard .and Roy E. Marshall, and
scored an easy triumph over thoir
competitors, making 391.6 points out
of a possiblo BOO. Iowa was second,
and Kansas third in tho contest. Ne
braska was winner of this contest
onco before, in 1909, but Ames stepped
in for tho laurels last year.
According to thd rules of tho con-
tost, if Nebraska wins again next
year, making two years in succession,
she will be awarded tho trophy for
good. Professor Howard entertains
tho highest hopes for tho team of next
fall, and neither effort nor onthusiasm
will bo wanting in tho attempt to
mako Nebraska tho permanent victor
of the valley.
