by an automobile Thursday ovoning
whllo crossing tho corner of Twolfth
and It streets, was able to attend hor
classes yesterday. Miss Johnson is
registered In tho Conservatory of Mu
sic. Sho was hurrying across tho car
tracks to avoid tho "Cannonball" and
did not notico tho auto which was
coming down North Twelfth streot at
tho rate of about 20 miles an hour.
Sho was painfully bruised about tho
head and armB.
Somo students passing by rushed to
pick hor up and carried her to her
rooms at 1220. R. Miss Johnson had
a very narrow escape from serious
injury.
Tho number of tho automobile waB
secured by the students who assisted
hor.

tice, tho chorus Is attacking this now
work with increased enthusiasm,
which bids fair to mako it an oven
