first smoker of tho year Thursday
night at tho Phi Gamma Delta house.
'About fifty members wore present in
cluding about twenty Froshmon. Vari
ous stunts woro put on, much to the
amusement of tho men. Short talks
were mado 'by Captain Ackerman and
other officers.

A great amount of enthusiasm was in
evidence and every man thinks Ne
braska will havo tho best band In its
history.

Gollatly, Freshman candidate, was rep
resented as having attended school at
Peru last year. In reality It should
