Aftor trying to withdraw from tho list j)f nominees and declaring ho didn't want the Job, Jerry Warner, the Cornhuskor football hero and erst while law student, waB handed the offlco of president of the freshman law claBB Thursday morning by a vote of 49 to 22 on tho second ballot. On tho first ballot, Dick Stout of Lincoln received 21 votes, Joo Noono of Omaha 23, and Warner 2C. Tho two higher candidates were then vot ed on a second tlmo and tho result announced amid wild cheers for Jerry. John Outright, who was elected sophomore president a few minutes later, was also nominated for tho froshman law honor, but refused to run. Aside from tho olectlon of pres ident, no business was transacted. GERTRUDE HALL DEDICATED UNIVERSITY GIRLS ENTERTAIN IN HONOR OF NEW CHAPERONE.
