A local wrestling tournament, open
to the throe classes of wrestlers, light,
middle and heavy weights, will be the
big event of tho season In Lincoln,
probably held late in tho year.
League 8lowly Being Formed.
A Missouri Valley wrestling league
is being formed and although it may
not materialize In time to hold a moot
this year, tho University club is tak
ing it up and will send its endorse
ment when tho matter Is broached to
tho conference.
Tho wrestling team of Nebraska
will represent this school In tho WoBtr
orn Intercollegiate meet this year as
in former years. Tho men will bo
glvon places on their showings In tho
Ideal tournaments.
Dr. R. G. Clapp spoke to tho meet
ing, telling tho members tho rules of
the club and tho best methods of get
ting results from their work. Tho
next meeting will bo hold at tho close
of tho football season. Tho wrestlers

interest. As a good mandolin club is
a necessary and valuable adjunct to a
largo University like Nebraska, all
men talented in' this llnoare expected
to enlist vwith Thomas to" promote tho

Classes In gymnastics have begun
after a long siego of medical examina
tions. Tho new Instructor, C. C. Rey
nolds, succeeds Mr. O. F. Field, who
resigned at tho closo of last year.
Mr. Reynolds is an experienced man
in gymnastic training, having been on
gaged in gym work for eight years.
Ho was physical director in tho Y. M.
0. A.'s of Dayton, Ohio, St. Louis and
several other cities, and thoroughly
understands tho lino of work in which
he is engaged in the University.
