Major Cornell to weed out all players
whose Talent Is not "up. to tho famouB
band's high standards. 'As a result,
about fifteen men find themselves
high privates in tho rear rank of a
company, instead of purveyors of al
leged harmony.
Have Fifty Pieces.
Fifty pieces will probably bo tho
sizo of tho band, and now players will
constantly bo added to take the place
of discarded musicians. Hard work
has already become the watchword at
their headquarters, many difficult
operatic and classical selections hav
ing been practiced already.
Prospects aro fine for an extra good
band, and all tho members of tho or
ganization are striving to make the
band's work at tho Minnesota game,
October 21, one of tho winning fac
tors for the scarlet and cream.

member of his cIobs, having interest
