tion in tho state was organized at
Falls City Tuesday evening.

future. Furnas, Red Willow, Adams

an association before tho end of the

Nobraaka is going to win tho Na
tional rifle competition this year if
increased facilities can do it.

tho west is soon to bo installed in
tho basement of one of tho buildings
on tho campus. Ten largo targets
with full indoor equipment are or
dered, and a now rifle intended espe
cially for indoor target work will be

Nebraska Enters Contest.
Tho entire regiment will try out in

Yates Rifles. From this organization
is selected the team to represent Ne
braska in the N. R. 'A. contest.
Tho National Rifle association is
composed of all tho colloges in the
country in which military Bclonce 1b
taught. It furnishes all badges for
sharpshootlng, and for tho winners of
compote.
All fees required by this organiza
tion are paid by tho authorities of tho
University.

tion On Inspection Tour.
Tho experiment station was visited
today by tho Honorable Richard;
Schroodor, director of tho Turkestan
agricultural experiment station of
Taschkent, Turkestan.
Mr. Schxoedor has visited tho exper
iment stations of New York, Michigan
and Wisconsin, and goes from Nebras
ka to Kansas, thence to tho Interna
tional Dry-Farming Congress at Colo
rado Springs, and on the PaclflcIcoaBt
to study tho citrus fruit industry of
California.
Mr, Schroeder mentions having met
Dean, Bessey and Dr. Ernst A. Bessey,
now of Michigan, at his experiment
station In Turkestan.
Girls interested in tennis will meet
today at noon to mako final arrange
ments for the tennis tournament to bo
hold In tho afternoon. This has
boon decided at a meeting of tho on
thUBlasts. No class teams will contest this fall,
tho contest being for tho individual
championship only. Next spring teams
will probably bo organized to contest
for the class championship.
All girls, whether members of tho
tennis club or not, aro olllglblo for
this tournament, and all aro urged to
sign up at onco. Those Interested
should sign their names on tho card
hanging in the women's gymnasium.
There are about ton members of last
year's club back again this year, and
these, together with a number of
promising freshmen, will mako an In
testing contest.

bride, and Will Robertson, also 1909,
of Plattsmouth, was tho groom. Tho
ceremony performed at tho homo of
tho bride's parents. Plattsmouth will
bo tho homo of tho couplo after their
honeymoon, Mr. Robertson 'being a
practicing attorney there. While at

Tho sophomoro oloctiqn will bo
pulled off today at 11:30 in Memorial
hall. Frank Kruso and John Cutright
aro tho two sophomoro candidates.
Both aro woll known and popular, and
tho fight is going to bo a hot one.
Kruso is a Lincoln high school man
and a football star. Ho played on tho
Froshman team until ho broko his
ankle in tho Olympics. This year ho
is on tho Varsity squad.
Cutright Is a graduate of tho Oma
ha high school. Last yoar ho was
qulto prominent in university life. Ho
1b a mombor of the Alpha Tau Omoga
fraternity. Ho made tho Froshman
Debating squad and played on tho
class basketball team.
With tho sophomoro cqntest this
morning and tho freshman election
