HONORING A PRESIDENT. s The University cadets have been honored by an invitation to assist In j the Taft parade on Monday. They have accepted the honor also the re- sponslbillty. They will turn out, ofTl cers and .men alike, to do their duty as military men. They aro to do honor to the Presi dent of tho United States. They arc to act as his body guard. Without re gard to political beliefs, four hundred cadets will patrol the streets of Lin coln. They will honor their nation by honoring Its executive. The President will be honoring the cadets. In days of old knights fought for places in the body guard of their leader. The city of Lincoln will be honoring the( cadets. They are to be-' come for n few hours, the police and protection of thousands of citizens and visitors. The cadets gladly accepted tho hon or and along with It the responsibility. They will perhaps be short-lived In tho mem ories of coming generations, as com ' pared to other features more purely educational.
