THURSDAY, MAY 25, 1911 A SUGGESTION. Tho following notlco is taken from tho "Electrical World" of Mny 4th: "Ohio Stato University Inspection Trip: About 100 studetns of tho de partments of electrical and mechan ical engineering of tho Ohio Stato University, accompanied by four in structors, spent three days in Chicago, two days in Milwaukee, and one day In Gary, Ind., on an inspection trip covering the week ending April 29. By taking these trlpB he would becomo fnmillar with Industrial affairs as well aB the piactlcal applications of tho theory that ho obtains at school. Again, the Btmlent would meet men who are n success in the business world, and he, in many cases, would receive aid In making his choice of whatever branch of engineering ho wishes to specialize in. In fact, there are numerous ways In which such a trip would be of great benefit o him. Of course, It would bo almost Im possible to think of visiting Chicago or Milwaukee, but this would 'not be necessary. Nebraska could not be more suitably located for such a trip. Being nbout midway between Minne apolis and Kansas City and being such a short distance from Omnha, wo could not ask for a better geo graphical locntion. Wo could alter nate between Kansas City and Min neapolis each year and In that way a student before his graduation would hnvo visited the industrial centers of both Knnsas City and Minneapolis, and would hnvo visited Omnha twice. As we have already tnken our in itial steps towards bucIi a trip, due to tho efforts of Professor Holllster and the members of the A. S. M. E. and A. I. E. E., why not get together and work towards having this trip a part of the engineering course given here at Nobrnska, and thus put ourselves on a equnl with Ohio, Michigan, Wis- STRAW HATS 1.25 and SOFT MILAND 2.50 SAILORS SENETE BUDD eight pago bulletin descrlptlvo of the establishment visited at each place.
