the summer. Ernest Wohlenberg and
Richard Phillips will spend the sum

work in one of the forest reserves in

club this year will be held Thursday
evening at 8 o'clock in U107. Profes
sor Pugsley will give an Illustrated
lecture on "The National Corn Show."
As this will be the last meeting this
year it is hoped that all members be

a beautiful May polo dance was pre
sented by ten Union girls: Misses
Caldwell, Eads, Barrett, Hendricks,
KeBB, Thomas, Roberts, Hathaway,-
Smith and Brown. After the social
hour there was a business meeting at
which Messrs. Deers, Kinney and
Swan and Miss Hnnel were taken into
membership. About thirty-five Union
Lit8. went to Epworth lake park Sat
urday afternoon for the annual picnic.
A most enjoyable time is reported.

PALLADIAN BANQUET.
Held Saturday Night by Girls In
Honor of the Boys.
Last Saturday evening the boys of
the Palladlan Literary society were
most royally entertained at a banquet,
given by the Palladlan girls, at the
Gooden home on South Twenty-ninth
street. A delicious flve-courso menu
was served by four of Miss Gooden's
young girl friends. Miss Alice Ran
som and Mr. Hutton furnished the
nniBic for the evening. Ilss "Vera
Barger, the Palladlan president, acted
as toast mistress. Those responding
to toasts were: Misses Anna Som
mer and Irene Montgomery, S. A. Ma
hood, J. R. Beach and H. C. Filley.
Miss Mary Holcomb and Ray Rice
were absent on account of Illness. In
remembrance of them the society sent
each a beautiful bouquet.
