to the action of the authorities in

C. A. 1b well founded, is a matter yet
to be ascertained. However, it la
Homething worthy of investigation. If
the summer students demand the use
of ovory court on the campus, they
should have it. At least they should
have the preference to any other
players.
Tho summer sessions of the univer

possible to make them. There aro
fow attractions to break the monotony
yc'ralty haB a right to put to whatever
ubo It sees fit. But what is tho prl-J

of tho atato in encouraging those
things or even tolerating thorn? It is
to make university life attractive. It
is for this purpose tho money is ap
plied. Who has the authority to de
prive tho studontB of what is theirs by
right of tho will of tho Btato? Tho
intentions and dosiroB of tho taxpay
ers cannot bo overlooked. This stop
should be takon with caro and cau

Sharpen them up knives, case

broad knives, any old kind of knives,
ovory old kind of knives. Dandelion
day is coming. Every loyal student of
tho university Bhould bo out to holp
uproot tho "yollow peril." Every man
in the university who has a speck of
loyalty and cares to do something for
his school will bo on tho job. If ho
cannot do that much well, he does
not belong at the University of Ne
braska, that's all.
