Tho first local handicap athletic
moot to bo hold for the benefit of uni
voralty track aspirants will tako placo
noxt Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock.
This is tho first meeting of a sorlos
of Its kind planned by Coach Feld at
tho boginning of tho year.
Tho primary object of those moots
will bo tho competition of all univer
sity athlotcs, rcgardlcBB of their quali
fications for conforenco oventB. It is
to bo a freo-for-all In tho real senso of
of tho word, no ono being barrod who.
is ontered In time to give tho officials
opportunity to handicap him. Tho
handicap featuro is a now ono for Ne
braska local "moots and is not yet an
assured success for tho first two or
throo moots. After this, however, tho
records of freshman contestants will
bo sufficiently established to onablo rt
fair handicap. During tho first two or
throo contests Coach Field will han
dicap tho freshmen, based on his ob
servations of tho flrBt year men. Tho
moot will include nil ' of tho track
events with tho exception of tho polo
vault and broad jump.

duction of the figure of Lorenzo de
Medici taken from the ' magnificent
Lorenzo do Medici chapel at Florence

still quarantined for scarlet fovor, and
while tho opidomlc has not spread to
any extent, it Is still serious enough
to causo considerable anxiety at tho

ported thus far among tho students.

nified a willingness to meet any of
