banquet. The following were appoint
ed a committee on tho dance, which
will be held in May: Yale Holland,
Sigma Chi; Victor Krauso, Kappa Sig
ma; Sam Buck, Phi Gamma Delta.
The committee on the banquet is
composed of R. D. Hawlcy, Sigma Nu;
Dale Bayles, Delta Tau Delta; Joe
Pomerene. Sigma Alpha Epsllon. Last
year was the first banquet, and It was
a remarkable success. It will bo hold
next month shortly after tho Easter
recess. Tho committees were left to
select their chairmen, and Bayles was
chosen to head the banquet committee
today.

last nigh t. Professors q. V. P. Stout
and L. VVT' Towne spoke. Professor
Kstout Bpoke on "Hydraulic Engineer
ing." Ho dealt with tho work of tho
hydraulic engineer in tho solving of
power, irrigation, drainage and public
water supply problems. By the aid of
blackboard sketches and curves he
illustrated very clearly, the methods
of dealing with the conservation of a
water Bupply, and also of tho methods
of handling power and storage prob
lems. Professor Towne's subject was
"Structural Engineering," and ho
