Try-outs Must Be Held by February 22 Committees Appointed. At a meeting of the interclass de bating board hold yesterday, Wednes day, February 22, was 'definitely de termined upon as tho date for try-outs In all classes. TIiobo Intending to onter should hand their names to the board members representing their class, so that places may be drawn as early as possible. One man from an other class was appointed to secure judges and a room for each class. Freshmen, Rein; sophomores, Powers; juniors, Votava; seniors, English. A committee consisting of Mitchio and Garrett was appointed to consult with Miss Ensign in picking dates dur ing the week of March 5 for the fresh-man-Bophomore and junlor-Bonlor de bates. Powers and English wore em powered to select the judges for these debates. Hahno, Epperson, Powers and Eng lish will decide upon the question! for tho final debate April 11. Tho varlouB teams when, chosen will determine among themselves tho side each is to take. In tho sophomore class the drawing for places in tho try-out will be hold February 16. Its Use in Making Farm'-Work More Easy Demonstrated by Expert Students in the school of agriculture taking work in the engineering depart ment heard somo very interesting lec tures last week by Mr. Angst of tho E. I. Dupont Powdor company, on the manufacture, use and methods of handling dynamite. These lectures were emphasized by field demonstra tions in blasting stumps. Because Qf some recent inventions in dynamite and because of its value In blasting stumps and removing boulders, trees and earth works, dynamite is becom ing a necessity for all farmers.
