The tendency of a largo share pf the
student body to loiter in the halls
between classes lias always caused a
great deal of dlfllcult'y. Men and wo
men who do this seem to be almost
totally unaware of, tho fact that they
are Inconveniencing otherB, and mak
ing It dllHcult for them to reach their
classes on time. Matters of this kind
are not renlly bad, but the influence of
these actions causeB the trouble. If
every student did It, it yrould be an
impossibility for any one to reach the
different recitation rooms. Tho men
are as bad as tho women in this, and
we should all do as much as possible
to 'overcome tills fnult.
Students will scold alid complain
about nfct being able to pass through
the halls on account of the conges-

one or two people try to speak with
out authority for the whole student
body. If this plan Is followed, and the
students do not try to Interfere then
tho matter will be settled as the law
makers think best.
Personal opinion may be a part of
public opinion, biu it Is not all of it,
and for that, reason it Is best that in
matters of this kind that the men and
women of the undergraduate body
keep "hands off." No matter what the
result may be, the students will have
to take It, and if such a thing should
occur that one student, by n chance
statement, caused a matter of this
kind to be decided in a way which is
not for the best, then tho opinion of
the entire body as well as others will
have to suffer.. So let affairs shape
