Tho material for guards Is not near as strong as that for other positions, none of tho teams having exceptional ly strong guards.. In order to get tho BtrongoBt combination it was neces sary to shift Georgo from a tacklo iposltlon to that of guard and glvo tho other side to Stryker, with Grlffen of tho seniors a strong second. In plac ing George at guard ho Is In his nat ural position, having won his "It" in that position. Stryker has also made good in the same position on this year's "scrub" team. The Tackles. Gutberlet and Gllmoro are placed at tackle. Gutborlot has won his "It", on the varsity "scrubs" and with two years' experience on tho second var Bity toam Is tho pick for tho place. Gllmoro Is tho only man on tho team that has been placed from the back Hold to the line. Although a splendid lino plunger, ho is not fast enough for tho backflold that has been chosen. His weight and his ability to carry tho ball through the lino makes him tho choice for tho other tacklo posi tion. For ends tho positions fall to Tol- JofBan.:antL Mltchle. This pair of halfbacks aire the best thathavo been seen on afey class team for several years.
