It Is receiving more attention, from critics than any picture in tho gallery. The figuro is t.hnt. of n hnnutiful woman holding n red parasol. She is dressed In a long red gown. The six pieces by LouIb Akin of Kansas City aro of particular Inter est, Blnco tho visit of Akin to tho gal lory, Ho was In Lincoln a few days ago and was much pleased with the exhibit, His paintings 'are all In very delicate colors. He has a fondneBS for sunsota and views of the groat Colorado canon. Fully two-thirds of tho pictures aro either landscapes or water scenes. There is a greater proportion of out door subjects than at any previous oxhlblt. Thoro Is a noticeable lack of what aTtlsts .call "still Hfo" studies.
