MORE LIGHT.
The university campus iB a beauti
ful place in tho daytime, but at night
it resomblofl tho deepest depths of an
abandoned well as far as durkneBB is
concerned. The campus is occupied
by tho students until ten o'clock every
night. As tho unlvorslty women often
deslro to walk across tho grounds from
tho library to their liomcs, would not
it bo best that light of some kind wnt
provided so that thoy could find their
way? It Is only fnlr to tho .co-eds to
provide enough illumination of the
campus nt night so that they may be
enabled to crosB the grounds In

ARE WE APPRECIATED?
An artlclo in a recent issuo of the
State Journal stated that tho roturn
of tho unlvorslty students to Lincoln
gave rlso to tho question aB to whether
or not tho people of Lincoln appreci
ated what tho students did for the
city.
Tho theory that tho students In the
city aro a nuisance is hold by mnny.
Others of Lincoln's odd -13,000 popula
tion aro anxious for tho return of tho
university men and women. A few
otherB are ludlfferent.
Tho university is an asset to the
city of Lincoln, and It Ib high time
that tho people of this city became
aware of the fact. Many thousands of
dollars are spent annually In Lincoln
by the students. Do the business men
appreciate UiIb? Some do; others,
