Valley Convention.
The convention of tho Missouri
Valley Historical Society will bo
held in Iowa City from May 25
to 27. The programs were given
out yesterday. A number of No

sity; Albert AVatkins, Professor
Guernsey Jones, C. S. Payne and
Professor Shiniek, formerly pro
fessor of zoology at Nebraska.

Permit Holders Must Report Ev
ery Day or Pay the Penalty.
Announcement was made yes-
.tc relay that a largo number of
students holding permits to-attend
classes were nft reporting
for daily examination. These
permits were issued to the vari
ous membors of the student b6dy
that they could attend classes if
they would report to Dr. Pilsbury
for daily examination. A large
number of studonts thought that
as long as thoy held theso per
mits that it was not necessary to
submit to the rules that thoy
were issued under and' that the
daily examinations were more tr
less of a "bluff."
Today the following notieo was
sent to all the students who hold
permits who have failed to ap
pear for examination. Tho no
tice is to the qffect that unless
they live up to the requirements
that they will be suspended from'
tho mivcrsity. Failnroto report
for examination hereafter will re
sult in such punishment. Tho no
