Although they could not get out of doors, they passed the time playing indoor game, and the time passed fairly fast. The banquet Thursday "night was a very onjoyable. affair, and the toasts were said to be exception ally good, One of the conditions accom panying the, chancellor's cake was that the best looking man should be selected and not al lowed to have any of the cake, the desire being to see it he did riot have to stay with the Rho desia colony longer than any of the others. It is said that Lin ton was selected, but it is feared ho got in on tho cake in spite of tho fact. The class night entertainment given April 22 was a pronounced success, both from a histrionio and financial point of view. Charles Durland as .the "Se nior" in tho farce by the same name deserves, ospeoial m'ention for tho ease with which he took a difficult role. Ho was, support ed by a strong cast. The music was catchy and suited to the spirit of "The Senior." The class propreoy and poem, and tho advice to under classmen were full of tho usual class day jokes and. were unusually interesting. Tho proceeds were over one hundred dollars, The class have .decided to purchase the statue of "Diana Robing" as their me morial, to be presented com- Lmencoment night. The class of 1911 are making prepaartlons for the annual ban quet to be given in honor of the seniors, May 14. The olass of 1911 number thirty-six and ex pect to graduate as the "largest plass yet." Twelve additional lawn tennis courts are in process of construc tion at the University .of Chicago by tho department of athletics. The now oourts will' bo located west of Cobb HalljTand will be inclosed by a Jfenco, of wire bet ting; and, together with the ex isting courts scattered over the campus "'(twelve in number) will be carefully looked after and kept up during the season..
