Tho irresponsible creatures
that performed tho antics of a
kangaroo at convocation yester
day morning were merely atten
tive, obedient students to tho
great health generator "W. Earl
Flynn. Under the guidance of
this gentleman, students of Ne
braska Univorsity were instruct
ed at' a special convocation in
tho arts of right living. Not
only were they lectured on this
subject, but were urgently re- I Classified ColllHM II
quested, and complied with the fa, jM
request, to actuallv nnnlv nnrl.Bcz ID
carry out tho stipulation in Pro
fessor Flynn 's fundamental
health laws.
Professor Flynn at present is
conducting a series of lectures at
Lincoln. The crowds which he
succeeds in drawing to the same
have been so large as to provoke
conclusions from a few that he
avails himself of some magnetic
power peculiar to him. First lec
turing at tho First Presbyterian
church, ho went to Saint Paul's,
from where ho 'has at last been
compelled to withdraw to some
building sufficiently largo to hold
tho people assembled to hear him.
Benefits Derived.
Although some of tho innova

morning were almost radical in
their character, unanimous confi
dence in them was in general ex
pressed by tho students, being
further augmented by assertions
of Mr. Flynn 's concerning the
benefits already experienced b
students of his.
As a preface to Iur lesson, Dr.
Flynn expressed his great desire
to lecture and instruct university
students in his theories, consider
ing this his greatest opportuni
ties to stimulate possibilities
resident in tho young people.
Then as a means of improving
this opportunity ho gave them a
lesson of one hour, including
breathing, muscle developing, and
eye exercises. To portray aome
of tho contortions of face and
body executed by the students
would bo a task for the genius.
To repeat all of the uniquo ex
pressions uttered by tho profes
sor would bo impossible, jtjjyas
quite significant, however, that
his teachings were characteristic
of hip being, and -that to listen
to his discussion inspired all with
at least a momentary desire to
turn over tho "new leaf" and be
gin living "right."
In conclusion, Professor Flynn
Iopenea nis discussion to ques
tions. Advantage was taken of
this opportunity, and questions
regarding tne nours or sleep ana
study wore asked promiscuously.
In this, revelations were made
