Shakespearean Program at Convoca

Mrs. Lillian Helms, soprano soloist
of tho university conservatory, gave a
recital at regular convocation today.
Mrs. Helms' romarkablo ability to
sing high notes so clearly distin
guished her as a soloist, and all who
today heard her render Shakespearian
songs of that old type 'were greatly
pleased with tho program.
Previous to- each selection Mrs.
Helms gave a brief history of the
song, the composer, the play in which
it was sung, and tho circumstances
under which it was then sung.
The program as given this morning
