THE UNIVERSITY HAS GOOD SHOW Many Agricultural Associations Are Holding Meetings at Universi ty Farm and In the City During the Week. The llrnt annual corn show In con nection with the winter meetings of organized ngriculturo Is holng held this week at the auditorium. Thirty seven hundred ears of corn are on ex hibition from all parts of the state. Wheat and oats are also exhibited. There is a-domestlc science and man ual training exhibit In chargo of MIbs Myrtlo Ktuffman, Nobi'aska, "07, Tho committee in chargo of the show are university men. R. A. Miller, 04; C. P. Chase, '10, anil Val Kuska, School of Agriculture, '07. Prizes to the amount of ?1,800 were offered and tho awards wero made Tuesday. The best slnglo ear was shown by John Herald of Pnwneo county, who won the beautiful Rudgo trophy Tho beet ten earB wero shown by Fred Grim of Hennington. who wins tho Griswold trophy. Champion Ear There. The grahd champion ear of tho world Is on exhlblbltion. Tho $1,000 Kellog trophy that this won at Om aha is also shown. The wheat and oats exhibited are mostly heads of stalks. The School of Agrlculturo has an oxhlblt showing' experiments in corn and other crops. Several seed corn men have booths.
