of the club, as follows: "Grazing," A.

B. M. Barber, '12. Some aBtounding
facts relative to the possibilities of
tho high plulnB region were brought
out by these papers. Tho readers
wero well acquainted with their sub
jects and gavo many practical hints.
This region is tho most productive In
Nobraska, the rainfall is sufficient to
produco wheat yielding forty bushels
to tho acre every season, because of
tho exceptional water holding capacity
of the soil. Tho soil also responds
very quickly to proper tillage at the
right tlmq of year.
Enthusiastic Over West.
Professor Hunt was very cnthuBlas
tic ovor tho future of tho western part
of tho state, saying it Is now a definite
fact that as a crop producer it has as
bright an outlook as eastern Nebraska
over had. He Is In charge of large
experimental enterprise in this coun

valuo, when In reality It merely lacks
development. Professor Hunt proved

much kindness in addressing the club.
