This plan was approved by all tho
sororities and has been sent to the
faculty, signed by tho representative
committee. It Is the Intention of thq
girls to -leavo all details, that might

cretion and decision of tho student
council. If put under the control of
tho student council the parties will
practicnlly bo In the hands of the
classes una ho this plan should meet

eds are pledged to wed boforo their
graduation is the awful find that the

dances are responsible for the sad
condition.
But the story is most laughable as
originally told. Here It is as it ap
peared under a Lincoln date-lino:
Five per cent of the co-eds at tho
University of Nebraska are engaged,
have pledged themselves to wed soon
after completing the undergraduate
course and walking away with a little
diploma.
This statement Is based on the fig
ures compiled by a graduate student
of the state school, who has been
gathering data for three months. He
gathered his figures by observing the
engagement rings worn by the girls,
by aBklng some co-eds, and by get
ting facts from friends of engaged
girls. i ,
He makes the statement that Cupid
is more popular with the Nebraska co
eds this fall than In any year of the
last ten.
