Franklin Academy and Tron ton in tho southwest district; Broken "Bow in tho west central district; Davtid City and Seward in the eastern district; Gotlionborg in tho western; Gordon in tho northwestern; Grafton in tho central, and Clay Center in tho southern district. In each district tho schools pair off, tho winners pairing off again until it is finally decided which school shall send tholr representatives to the stato contest on high school feto day. Tlioro wero threo important amendments to tho constitution adopt ed. One sets December 1 as tho date by which a school must apply for membership for tho coming year. An other directs that tho first series in each district shall bo held not later than March 1. Tho third directs the executive commlttoo, consisting of tho president, secretary-treasurer and dis trict directors, to redistrlct tho state at any time so that no more than eight schools comprise any one dis trict. Fogg President. Professor Fogg was again elected president of the league. Superinten dent Charlos A. Mohrman of Atkinson was olected secretary-treasurer, to suc ceed H. Clyde Filloy, former superin tendent at Albion, who is attending tho university school of agriculture this year. The president is to ap point the district directors. The question for tho debate this year was selected by vote of the league lost year. It will be, "Re solved. That labor unions aro on tho whole beneficial." This question will be tho one used in the state contest as well as in the district contests. Tho bulletin was prepared by Prof. Val Keyser, superintendent of farmer Institutes, and Stato Superintendent E. C. Bishop. Tho annual stato contests and con vention of tho boys and girls will be hold at tho city auditorium next Jan uary. Tho first of the sorles of amateur dramatic events at the University of Kansas this year is to be the produc tion of an original farce early In De comber which was written by Miss Muriel Culp of Lawrence, formerly an nctivo member in the Masquo Club, one of tho K. U. dramatic organiza tions. "Dad and the Frats," as tho play is called, is a farce full of college at mosphere and is pronounced by uni versity critics as remarkably clever. Miss Georgia Brown of Kansas City, who 1b to direct the production, said of it: "It is one of the cleverest things 1 havo seen in a long time and will cer tainly make a hit with the people on the hill." The play will bo given by tho Thes pian Dramatic Club early in Decem ber. An interesting feature of the pro duction is to be the starring of "Tom my" Johnson, the University of Kan sas quarter back, as the center of the complications in tho plot. After a glimpse of college life, with a liberal supply of football enthusiasm "Dad" docldes that tho "frat" is not so bad aftor all and becomes one of tho boys.
