tions yesterday afternoon sent out to
the various student organizations of
tho university announcement of tho
rules which will govern social events
during tho coming year. Tho ruleB
are those which were adopted late
ltfst spring. The principal regulations
follow: .
UA11 unlvorsity functions (as distin
guished from departmental clubs
such as Botany, Chemistry, English,
Latin, etc. shall be held on Friday
and Saturday evenings.
"All university parties, formal or in
formal, shall close not later than 12
P. m.
"All parties where women aro pres
ent shall bo officially chaperoned. No
tice of such parties shall be given to
the adviser of women a day In ad
vanco and the names of the chapor
onos submitted to her for approval.
'"No university function shall be
held prior to tho chancellor's reception."'

to the University of Nebraska has Just
been reported from Beirut, Syria, In
the person of Totton James Anderson,
born May 26, 1909, to Mr. and Mrs.
Samuel Anderson. Mr, Anderson la a
member of the class of 1903, while
Mrs. Agatha Totten Anderson gradu
ated In 1900.
