Knox Coach Devotes Time to Working
up a Defense Calculated to Keep
the Nebraska Score as Low
as Possible.
By R. J. Bender.
GALESBURG, 111., Oct. -(Special.)
In a final scrimmage Wednesday
night preparatory to the gamo between
the University of Nebraska and Knox,
the college team suffered so many in
juries that a much weakened team
will be compelled to face the Corn
huskera on Saturday.
Gebhart, the star half back of the
Knox team, is laid up with a wrenched
ankle and while he will make tho trip
with the team he probably will" not
bo able to get Jntp the 'game at all.
Swanson, captain and center, Is gen
erally bruised rup after the scrimmage,
and the same may be said of, Miller,
ond. Both of those players, however,
will be able to start on Saturday.
Bridge, the other regular half, had
a ligament torn in tho gamo last Sat
urday and will not even be able to
make the trip. Those Injuries coming
at this ttlmo necessitate sending a
very light team against Nebraska on
Saturday.
