Oratorical Contest Drew Large Crowd
8aturday Evening,
The first annual oratorical contest
or tho Student's Debating club was
won Saturday ovening by H. E. DIx
on of Blair. H. C. Robortson of Om-
aha was second. As winner of the
.first plnce, Mr. Dixon was awarded a
gold modal. Mr. Robertson drew a
sliver trophy.
Tho contest was an interesting ono
and was attended by nearly ono hun
dred members of tho club and oth
ers Interested. Tho dlfforonco be
tween tho work of the leaders was
Blight and tho work of all was good.
The Judges wore Professors Gass,
Condra and Rev. Woathorly. The
speakers were H. C. Robortson, R.
W. Batos, S. C. Long, A. O. Warren
and H. E. Dixon. Regent Allen pro-sided.
