The plans for the now building are
bolng considered by Interested per
sons and they will probably be of
ficially presented to thb board of re
gents within a short time,
Tho now green house will be a steel
frame structure, but other than that
its character is undetermined. It
will bo considerably larger than tho
present building and Regent Coup-
land, who Is especially Interested,
states that it must be made architec
turally beautiful.
TO IMPROVE THE CITY CAMPU8
Landscape Gardening Will Be USed to
Beautify.
If tho present plans of Landscape
Gardener Dun man are carried to com
pletion, tho university will shortly
have a campus that Its students need
not bo ashamed of. Mr. Dunman has
already ordered shrubB and flowering
plants which ho will plant about the
campus In artistic fashion and in
such positions as will best hide some
of the defects of tho building scheme.
The rear part of tho campus will bo
plowed up and sown to grass. Shrubs
will also be scattered about the area
and an effort will be made to con
vert tho back yard of tho university
Into something less of an eyesore.
There is a possibility that vinos will
be grown up tho front of Mechanics,
Arts and Nebraska halls in ordor that
tho ugliness of those structures may
bo hidden from the oyo of, the- uni
versity student and visitor.
