Thoro Is no suitable place for a
rifle range near Lincoln and for this
reason Captain Worklzor would not
bo sorry to seo tho camp moved else
where. The regents recently deter
mined that tho camp bo held near the
city and that the cadetti attend clusses
from 10 to 3 each day,
, Tills order or the regents Is now the
object of a petition which has been
signed' by all tho 'officers 6f the bat
talion and which will Bhortly bo circu
lated aipong tho privates. The peti
tion recites tho advantages of a camp
outsdo of Lincoln and asks the re
gents to' reverse their , action. It will
be presented to that board at the
April meeting.
EJ. P. Schramm, a fellow in the ge
ology department, left ldst night to
begin his season's work on tho United
States geological survey. He will Join
a party led by A, L. Beekloy, a former
university studont, and wl)l work with
them in Investigation on the Stand
ing Rock Indian reservation, South
Dakota, Mr. Schramm will not return
td Lincoln before noxt fall.
