bishop of the Nebraska dioccso of
tho Episcopal church, will deliver the
baccalaureate address to the scnipr
class. T.his announcement was made
yesterday by Chancellor Avory after
word had boon received from the
bishop accepting the tender mado by
tho university authorities.

iors are expected to gathor together
and nttond church service In pursu
ance of tho custom which has boon
handed down by the tradition of hun
dreds of colleges for so many yoars.
The aorvices will probably be held in
Momorlnl hall, following the past cus
tom prevailing at Nebraska.
An Excellent Prelate.
Bishop Williams, who was selected
by tho university, for the baccalaurato
this year, is a man of culture and re
finement. He has been 'bishop of
Nobraska for a number of yearB and
In that capacity he has ondearcd him
solf to the pcoplo of his diocese and
at the samo time won tho respect .of
many not members of his church. He
is recognized ns an original thinUor
and an orator of power.
For a number of yoars past ox
Chancellor Andrews has delivered the
baccalaureate addresses at Nebraska.
Dr. Andrews was a regularly ordained
minister of the Presbyterian church,
and in that capacity ho took upon
himself the task df baccalaureate day.
