which are exquisitely done in water
colors and crayon. It Is the portrait
of an American type of beauty that is
more striking than the Gibson girl or

The wedding cf Mi;. E. II. Clark,
'01, purchasing agent of the univer
sity, to Miss Ht-ien Allen, "07, took
place at St. Paul's church Tuesday
evening. The ceremony was a very
beautiful one and was witnossed by
a large number of friends. A recep
tion at the home of the bride's pav-
cuts, at 900 North Trility-Blxth street.
Mr. Harry Shedd, of Ashland, form
erly registrar of the university, was
best man, and Miss Louise Allen, sis
ter of the bride, was maid of honor.
The bridesmaids -'were Misses Zoo
Chenoweth, Edith Roberts, Mabel Sny
der and Fannie Graves, while the
UHhers were Messrs. C. E. Johnston,
L. O. Payne, Louis Korsmeyor and
Ray Dumont.
Solos were sung by Mrs. C. E. Mat
son and Mr. George 'Johnston and the
wedding march was played by Mra.
Raymond. The bride Is a member of
Delta Delta Delta, and Mr. Clark is
a member of Phi Kappa Psi fratern
ity. The faculty of Washington has pro
claimed that the baseball team must
make good this year before it will be
allowed to make a trip. One of the
deans said that tho team of last year
was not worthy of tho university and
should not have been allowed to leavo
the campus.
Kansas will present to the legisla
ture a list of the students who are
paying their way "through school, The
