ball. Payno punted to Minor, who
fumbled tho ball on Nebraska's 45
yard line. Thorpo caught up the ball
and ran foijty-flve yards for a touch
down. Thorpo kicked goal. Score:

ended a minute after this goal was
kicked.
Both teams started the second half

gains tho Indians carried the oall to
tho 25-yard line, where riauser missed
a goal from placement.
Indians Work a Pass.
Minor kicked out from tho twenty-fivo-yard
lino to Balentl. Tho ball was
on tho forty yard lino of tho Corn
huskers, A forward pass from Winnie
to Balentl placed the ball on tho Ne
braska 10-yard lino. Tho Cornhusker
line could not hold and Payne went
over for a touchdown. Hauser kicked

line. Kelly took the ball to the cen
ter of the Held. Hauser kicked to
Nebraska s 40-yard lino. Wauseka re
covered the ball. Hauser punted to
Nebraska's 20-yard line where Llbby
got the ball. A forward pass from
Llbby to Wauseka then gave the In
dians another touchdown. Hauser
kicked goal. Score: Nebraska, 6;
Carllslo, 37. The game ended two
minutes later with the ball In pos
session of Nobrnska on Its 30-yard
line.

The university senate at a meeting
est ei day afternoon passed resolu
tions of regret on the resignation of E.
Benjamin Andrews from tho chancel
lorship of the university. The senate
in these resolutions Btato their belief
In the ability of Chancellor Andrews
and they offer firm commendation for
his work at Nebraska. The text of
the resolutions follows:
"The senate desires to express and
record its deep regret that the rela
tions between Its members and their
president are about to terminate, and
to voice Its sorrow that the Impaired
health of the chancellor ninkes his re
tirement from active duties necessary.
"1. His largeness and facile dignity
in the office of moderator will be
greatly missed in our future deliber
ations. "2. The experience and fame of
Chancellor Andrews, gained in earlier
years of Bervlce as college president
and publicist, have enabled the uni
versity, since his conirectlon with It,
to be more widely known and better
recognized as an institution of learn
Ing. "3. In Chancellor Andrews the col
leges and schools constituting the uni
versity have had the services of a
wise guide and counsellor, and under
him their Inter-relations have been
conserved with a due regard for the
rights of all.
'.'1. The work of departments In ex
istence tit his inauguration has had
in him an enthusiastic supporter, and
he has giently enlarged tho Bcope and
functions of the university by the ad
diton of such new departments and
organizations as seemed called for
troin time to time.
"o. Chancellor Andrews has been
in a large sense an administrator of
the university for the educational wel
fare ot the whole state, and he has
greatly aided the university and its
sister colleges In Nebraska in main
taining relations of mutual helpfulness
and esteem.
"G. During his administration the
students have found In him a friend
invariably and thoroughly devoted to
their highest good.
"7. His wide and accurate scholar
ship as well us his broad-mindedness
and large-heartedness have won for
him an abiding place in the hearts not
only of the members of the various
faculties but of the people .of tho com
monwealth, us well."
