American Historical Association Will
Meet in the East.
The preliminary program of tho
twenty-fourth annual meeting of tho
American Historical association has
been recolvcd at tho University of
Nobraska. Tho meetings will bo hold
in Washington and Richmond from
Doccmbor 28 to 31.
As several associations In subjects
alluded to history, meet at tho samo
time and placo, several university pro
fessorsB havo In tho past attended
theso meetings. Professors Caldwell
and Fling havo usually' attended tho
meotlngs, and it Is possiblo that thoy
will do so this year.
Last year tho annual meeting was
held at Madison, Wis., nnd drow many
professors of tho University of No
braska to that city. It was note
worthy for thev number of eminent
students that wero present, -and it Is
expected that tho coming meeting will
fully line up to tho reputation es
tablished last year.
