Kansas university upper classmen
havo adopted a Bet of ten rules for
the conduct of froshmon. Flunkora
must appear before the council of up
per classmen and no freshman must
bo seen on the campus in tho com
pany of a co-ed.
Miss Lucile Long and Mr. James
Clark, both graduates of tho Uni
versity of Nebraska in 1906, woro
married last evening at 8 o'clock at
the Second Presbyterian church. Mr.
Clark is practicing law at Tokamah.
They will make their home there.
At the establishment of tho. Teach
ers' college the summer session was
absorbed by It. At tho last meeting
of the board in charge the directors of
last summer's session were re-elected,
they being Professors Grumman, Reid
and Davidson.
A poll was taken yesterday morning
of university voterB under tho direc
tion of the republican county central
committee. Students were intercepted
at tho gates by agents of the commit
tee who asked, their names and pre
sidential preference.
Next Sunday at 12 o'clock Professor
Hutton Webster will lecture to tho
Sunday scnool students at the First
Unitarian church on "Taboo." Pro
fessor Howard will appear at the same
place In November, when he will talk
upon some sociological subject.
Reservations for tho plates at the
union school banquet have all been
made. Professor Condra has received
more requests for plates than ho has
been able to take care of, and no
further orders should be sent to him.
All will be .admitted, however, to the
gallery who t present membership
tickets in tho association.
