In the tennis matches with Kansas
at the Country Club yesterday after
noon, Nebraska did not fare so well.
Three of the six matches to bo played
wore finished yesterday and the others
will bo played this morning. Yester
day's matches resulted as follows:
Eaton, Kansas, beat Young, Nebras
ka, 6-1, 6-0, 6-0.
Plerson, Kansas, beat Slaughter, Ne
braska. 6-1, 8-6, 6-4.
Watson. Kansas, beat Richey, Ne
braska, 6-1, 6-2, 6-0.
The Kansas players were obviously
more experienced and the outcome
was not unlooked for. Eaton doubt
leas played the strongest game for
the visitors, but Watson Is a wonder in
covering his court and In his careful
use of the "Lawfoi 1" stroke.
Tho remaining match in singles be
tween Er8klno, Nebraska, and Weaver
ling, Kansas, and also the two matches
