The baseball trip was far from a
failure. Manager Eager Bays the boys
all kept straight. That 1b doing some
thing toward representing Nebraska
in addition to good work on the diamond.
No Extra Fees for Teachers.
In view of the fact that most or all
Intending teachers now in the College
of Literature, Science and the Arts
and in the Industrial College will nat
urally wish to enroll In the Teachers'
College hereafter, it is believed that
the Regents will make this change to
the Teachers' College possible for such
without the payment of any additional
matriculation fee, such as Is usually
charged when a student changes from
one college to another.
Tho new Athletic Board is getting
to work In good shape. The proposed
three-dollar ticket ought to take well
with the students, as this is an espe
cially low rate for their benefit. The
proposed revised constitution also in
dicates an interested and business-like
attitude. Of course the summer base
ball rule isn't what we can all agree
Y. M.C. A. Meeting.
The Y. Al. C. A. meeting tonight in
the Temple, from 0:50 to 7:30, will be
of especial interest for two reasons:
It is the last one of the year and it is
to be led by Arthur Jorgensen, who
graduates this spring and goes to the
University of Wisconsin as general
secretary of the Y. M. C. A.
These meetings have been growing
in interest and attendance and it is
the desire of the committee to have
this last one be the best. Mr. Jorgen
sen always has something to say and
knows how to say it in a pleasing and
Interesting manner.

It Is to be hoped that the recent
disagreement among the fraternities
In regard to the attitude which they
should take on the new rules of elec
tion to the Athletic Board will furnish
some leBsons for tho futre. With so
many of the national organizations of
our fraternities opposed to the Inter
fratornlty, Theta Nu Epsllon, It is un
fortunate that this organization should
continue to wield the Influence In col
lege affairs that It does. As the mat
ter has turned out, however, aside
from some minor considerations, there
was one thing upon which all the fra
ternities agreed and that was that no
clique, or organization should be per
mitted to dominate college activities.
Ladies' Baseball Nine.
The Faculty Club ladles' baseball
nine organized and held their first
practice recently. The feature of the
practice was the exceptional slugging
of Miss Lucas at opportune moments,
one long drive to deep left field for a
