special mooting Friday, April 10, at 8
p. m., at- which Karel Pollant, of
Prague, Bohemia, will address the
Bohemian students of the University
on "A Comparison of Higher Learning
in Bohemia and America."
Mr. Pellant Is a Bpeaker and writer

the students in the Bohemian depart

The faculty of the College of Medi
cine in Omaha have voted to extend an
invitation to students to isit Omaha
Wednesday, April 15, in place of Sat
urday, April 11, as originally an
nounced. Students who are actually in atten
dance on this excursion will bo ex
cused from all work in Lincoln without
penalty of any kind. I shall be glad
to know individually us to those who
expect to go. Others will be In at
tendance upon regular class exorcises

Debate in Rhetoric 16.
A debate was hold yesterday af
ternoon in U. 106 by members of the
debating class. The quostlon was:
"Resolved, That Nebraska Should
Join the Big Nine."
Paul Yates and B. M. Cherrlngton
upheld the negative, while V. W. Git
tings and H. F. Wunder were on the
affirmative. Captain Workizer pre
sided, and criticised the debate, which
was the best given in the course, so
