needed changes In the administration
of the school. The example of Stan
ford is still fresh in memory and tho

expoUed. Minnesota .recently exper
ienced a little revolution of the stu
dent body, and now Nebraska Is get
ting her turn at advertisement in tho
Bhapo of student reform up in the Law
School. Are not these things going
too far? Young people aro apt to get
over conscientious regarding the in
terests of tholr alma mater and calous
to the respect due to the powers that
be? There are plenty of things to
pluck from tholr own eyes before bo
ginning on tho mote in the other fel
low's eye.

tending, since Professor Lutoslowsky

ties on Plato. In the evening he will
give another lecture, on "Poland."

Michigan students have organized
a student council to see that the stu
dents get fair play with tho town peo
ple. The prosecuting attorney in the
case of the theater riot, is being called
bad names and criticised for his gram
mar and advised that the best thing
for him to do in the interests of the
community Is to drop the causes against
the fifteen students arrested. It looks
like another case of confusion between
the meaning of liberty and license.
Tho efforts of the prosecutor, judging
from the class of the students for
quarter are not half as Ineffectual as
tho attempts of the students to jus
tify themselves. If that council knows
what is to its own Interests it will de
solve for the law will ordinarily se
cure fair play without having one of
the interested parties as judge.
From all over the country word
recently prevented from giving a
play at Ravlnia Park by Chicago an
archists, who ovor-bld them for the
theater, and tore down their posters
about town. The baffled juniors con
tented themselves by tearing down all
the anarchist posters they could find.
The Freshman class meets in Me
morial Hall this morning at 11:30. A
few business matters aro to bo trans
acted' which were unattended to at the
last meeting. A member of the Stu
dent Publication Board will be chosen.
James Lawrence is the only candidate
for the place, The matter of selecting
the class cup will also bo disposed of.
Dickon's "Cricket On the Hearth"
will be presented in early April by
two literary societies of Hlinols University.
The Purdue board of trustees has
just approved the plans for a new
memorial gymnasium.
Yale will reduce her basket-ball
schedule, next year and restrict the
