Teachers Return to Work.

Kansas City, Kas., where the entire
J staff of women teachers walked out
I and refused to conduct their classes.
J Tin- trouble grew out of the fact that
I the teachers weio obliged to go to
the residence of the county treasurei
to have their pay warrants signed.
The school board adjusted the difficul
ties, sustaining the teachers in their
position.

adopted an honor system which In
cludes cheating, stealing, drunkenness
and gambling. Right here it might be
added that bridge whist is barred at
the University of Clucannati. The co
eds protested that the most they had
ever played for were toothpicks, but
with the stern dean that made no dif
terence. During the last Academic year Chl
I cago University received gifts amount
ing nearly to $G,000.000. This Is the
highest figure yet reached in a single
year.
