Elliott Completes Lectures.
"Dad" Elliott lectured twice in the
Temple Sunday. In the morning at
ten o'clock he spoke to about 250 Uni
versity men. lie developed the Idea
that slreiiKlh In any way requires ap
plication and unyielding; perseverance
The athlete must train faithfully and
forego many personal des'res. The
mental worker who works hardest Is
the most successful. And In morality
one must "train," so to speak, and
failure to follow the right rules of
moral " living produces sure moral
weakness Just as lack or training pro
duces physical weakness In an athlete.
In the afternoon Elliott presented
the three principles required 'n "a
Christian man very forcefully. About
two hundred and twenty-five students
were present and about thirty de
clared their Intentions at the close of
the meeting or following the precepts
of Christian living. "Dad" Elliott's
talks have been well attended and
well recefved and the Y. M. C. A.
management considers them a great
success.
The Zoological Club.
The Zoological Club will meet at 8
