Girls' Basket-ball.
Regular practice has begun for the
first team In girls' basket-bull, pre
paratory to the earning of the Minne
sota pluyei'd, March 21. Those at
present on tho Nebraska first squad
are: Mosaic Klmmcl, Boulah Rader,
Mnttle Wood worth, forwards; Vera
Bargor, center, and Nellie Stephen
son, Hattle Rollings and Anne Watt,
guards. Miss Woodworth, a former
first team player, lias boon out of the
game for a year or two, but-ls rapidly
getting into old-time form. Miaaeb
Kimturl and Stephenson are from the
senior class team, Miss Watt from
the junior team, and Misses Rollings,
Rader and Burger from tho freshman
team. The girls have not yet select
ed their captain. On the Hecbnd
squad are a number of good players,
some of whom are slated to make the
first team next year.
Since the Minnesota-Nebraska game
is the one big intercollcgiato event of
the year and is expected to prove, as
heretofoio, something of n social
event, It is desired that the varloiiH
classes, fraternities and other organi
zations endeavor to sclredule no ovent
for that night. Tho dato has been
fixed long enough ahead, it Is thought,
be discontinued. Cap. John G.
Workizer, the commandant of the
Cadet Battalion, will preside and
assist Professor Fogg In criticizing
