sontiment in favor of tho establish
ment of n "Class Day" to bo colebratod
on what Is at present known as "Ivy
Day," and to bo participated in by all
four classes of the University, and
wishes further respectfully to ask tho
signification of tho approval of tho
Deans in a request made to tho Ro
gents for n full holiday on this occa
sion. The program, as planned, includes,
in the morning, the usual "Ivy Day"
exercises on the campus, in the. after
noon, an interclass athletic fete at tho
State Farm, a picnic lunch at tho Bame
placo and In tho evening the presenta
tion of an outdoor operetta. All
classes aro to contribute to tho enter
tainment and serious effort is to "bo
made toward tho establishment of a
roally worthy custom.

At a recent meeting of the athletic
board, tho following stand was taken
as to whether the board did or did not
approve of girlB' intercollegiate ath
letic contests:
"In answer to the communication
from the Dean of Women, the athletic
board, after full and careful considera
tion, Bees no reason-for reversing the
past policy of the University In regard
to Intercollegiate athletic games be
tween women students."
As a result of this decision, it is
said to bo likely that games with Wos
leynn.nnd. with Minnesota will be play
ed In the near future.
Inter-Fraternity Athletic Meet.
Dr. Clapp has been considering the
possibility of holding an Inter-fraternity
indoor athletic meet in the near
future. i
Representatives from each fraterni
ty' aro requested to meet in his oflilce
at 11 o'clock this morning. Dp. Clnpp
wishes to have the meet if possible

Indoor meet which takes place on
