Threaten to Strike.
A strike by the entiie staff of the
Dally Illini, the University of Illinois
student paper, Is said to be threatened
because of the dismissal by the coun
cil of administration ofusiness Man
ager Sheriff. Reporters and publish
ers plan to "walk out" and leave the
institution without a paper unless
Sheriff is given a chance to remain in
the University. That the dismissal
was a part of the plot to turn over the
ci.ntrol of the Illini to the class In
newspaper writing under faculty con
trol Is. asserted by an evening paper,
which also printed Sheriff's charge
(hut "boozers" and "floaters'-' were al
lowed to remain while he was ban
ished .summarily. -
