Miss Barger was also a strong player
doing well for her team, but she paid
less attention to guarding, or to sub
ordinatlng her own play to team work
Effective guarding was done by Misses

tor player proving very quick and clev

ran a swift game.
Professor Bessey has received a
condensation of a paper on "Tim
Growth of Certain Australian Trees
in Arizona," which was written, by
J. J. Thornber. Mr. Thornber gradu
ated here in &7 and is now professor
of botany in the University of Ari
zona. The Senior Law class hold a meet
ing Friday morning for the purpose
of electing class offlcers for the sec
G. H. Heinke was elected president;
Thomas W. Bockes, vice president,
and Ernest Hendricks, secretary and
treasurer. According to the usual
custom, the retiring president, A. C.
Hough, was appointed sorgeant-at-arms.
