Two Fast Games of Basket-Ball Played At Week End. On Tuesday and Saturday evenings the Nebraska basket-ball team again demonstrated its superiority by tak ing two stralght, games from Missouri, the first 'by-a. score' of 43 to 31, arid tho secotfd by 42 to 30. The Mlssourlans were apparently unable to cope with tho fast team work of tho Cornhuskers and at no time in either gamo did the home toam loso the lead. Both games were liber ally patronized notwithstanding tho disagreeable weather and an enjoyable Informal dance was held in tho chapel after each game. Tho first game was played under the A. A. U. rules and was not so rough or fiercely played as was tho sec ond games under the intercollegiate rules. Both games wore fast, how over, and many brilliant plays were pulled off by both sides. Walsh came in for tho greatest number of flold goals. His accuracy was too much for the lissourlans. Out , of tho forty points scored by Nebraska in the sec ond gamo Walsh contributed twenty Sly. Burrus was seen with tho team for the first time Hits year, having been out of school during the first se mester. Altho handicapped by .being out of practice his playing was first class. The Bells played their usual steady and reliable games at the guard positions and Perry at had no trouble with his ninn, Burnett. For Missouri, Henley, tho husky cen-. tor, was the star performed, during the first gamo he piled up 'tw6nty-threo points for his team. In the second game .Rlstlno, at right forward bad five goals and eight fouls to his credit. Some anxiety is felt in school be cause of tho reported delinquency of certain members of the team. Anthes and Walsh are said to have fallen be low the twelve hour requirement. It is to be hoped, however, that theBe defi ciencies will be made up before the la ter games.
