Cases Today.
Today will bo a busy day In tho
College of Law courts, especially In
the district court. There are two
cases of Importance coming up at 0
o'clock today. The first one is Builtn
vs. Wentworth, for the foreclosure of
a mortgage There are six other de
fendants, and each one is represented
by two attorneys, .who present Hens
against the' property of Wentworth.
Tho attorneys for tho plaintiff are
McWhinivey and Waldron, assisted by
Hendricks; and for the defendants,
Paul Spillman, Cowan, Shanvan, Al
len, Crosby .Miller, Murphy, Perry,
Randall, and Logro.
This case will come up at 9 o'clock
in the Equity division of the district
court under Judge Wholan.
Tho second case comes In the Law
division of district court under Judge
Beghtol at the same time. This case
Is Sturznegger vs. Stouffer, and is a
Jury trial. Tho attorneys are A.
Thomas for the plaintiff and Paul for
tho defendant. The facts-of the case:
Mr. Stufi'er owns a potato patch ad
Joining Mr. Sturznegger's horse pas
ture Stouffer puts parls greon on the
potato plants to kill potato bugs. But
some of the plants were so near the
adjoining, fence that Surzneggor's
horses, two In number, ate the tops,
and consequently got the full benefit
of the parls green. They were both
poisoned and died. Sturznegger brings

The justice court will be confionted
with a full docket this morning, since
many of the lawyers are anxious to
get through with their cases before
the end of the semester.
The Sophomores have -decided to
hold an Informal In Memorial Hall,
January 24. The affair will be leap
year In Its character, though the ladles
will not be required to ask their es
corts. However, the leap year Idea
win becnrrled out in the stunts which
comprise the flratTuflf of the program
and the dances which will 'occupy the
later half.
